Product Description

The economical (manual) pigging system mainly consists of a launching station, a receiving station, and a pig. There are two types of manual pigging systems: in the manual pigging system, the pig has to be manually removed from the receiving station; in the semi-automatic pigging system, the pig can be sent back to the launching station by driving force when it reaches the receiver.

Manual Pigging System Overview

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a manual pigging system?
Manual pigging systems use manual control to launch and receive the pipeline pig. The pig can be manually removed from the receiving station at the end of the process or returned to the launcher for the next cycle.
How does a pigging system work?
It works by using a specialized "pig" propelled by the product or a propellant through the pipeline. It cleans walls and recovers residual product, significantly improving efficiency.
What are the main benefits of using this system?
Key benefits include enhanced product recovery (up to 99.5%), reduced waste, improved operational efficiency, and minimized downtime during cleaning.
What materials are used for the launchers and receivers?
The system components, including launchers and receivers, are typically constructed from high-quality SUS316L stainless steel to meet hygienic standards.
Is the system compatible with CIP (Clean-In-Place) processes?
Yes, the launching and receiving stations are designed to be cleaned together with the existing process pipeline during standard CIP procedures.
What industries can benefit from this product recovery system?
It is ideal for industries handling liquid products such as food and beverage, pet food, dairy, chemicals, cosmetics, and lithium battery manufacturing.
