Product Description

Brief introduction: Sand filter systems include tanks with underdrain systems, backwash valves, piping, and automatic control systems.

DMF filters are designed for the most challenging dirty water conditions with a high performance solution for water filtration down to 20 microns. These durable carbon steel filters utilize a 24"-54" vertical side shell depth for removal of organic and inorganic suspended solids for filtering large volumes of water with very little pressure drop and long-term value.

Key Applications:

  • Commercial - Golf course and sporting field irrigation systems.
  • Industrial - Pre-treatment of UF/RO and waste water recycling.
  • Irrigation - Primary filtration for the prevention of blockages in irrigation systems.
  • HVAC - Cooling tower side filtration and full system cleaning.
  • Metal Processing Plants - Filtration for water cooling and spray nozzles.
  • Mining - Cleaning of process and waste water.

Working Principle

The Filtering Process: Known as depth filtration, water is filtered through a thick layer of graded particles (sand, gravel, or granular materials). Raw water enters from the inlet and percolates through the filter bed. Suspended materials attach to the media particles, and clean water flows out through filtration nozzles.

Technical Requirements:

  • Min. pressure: 0.15Mpa
  • Max. pressure: 1.0Mpa
  • Working temperature: <65ºC
  • Tank thickness: 4/6/8 mm
  • Power: 220V/110V/battery

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the main benefit of using a DMF sand filter?
The DMF sand filter provides high-performance depth filtration for both organic and inorganic suspended solids, making it ideal for large volumes of water with minimal pressure loss.
2. How is the cleaning process triggered?
The system uses a pressure differential switch. When dirt buildup causes the pressure drop to reach a preset value, the automatic controller begins the backwashing self-cleaning process.
3. What filtration degrees are available?
Standard systems offer filtration down to 20 microns for industrial use and 40 microns for agricultural irrigation, with custom options available for 10 or 5 microns.
4. Is the filter system suitable for corrosive environments?
The tanks are constructed from durable carbon steel with various thickness options (4mm to 8mm), providing a robust solution for diverse industrial and environmental conditions.
5. What are the power requirements for the automatic controller?
The automatic control system is flexible and can be powered by 220V, 110V, or a battery system, depending on your site's availability.
6. Can these filters be used in irrigation?
Yes, they are widely used in golf course irrigation and primary filtration for agricultural systems to prevent blockage of nozzles and drippers.
